Tip 1 – Sunburn, heat rash, choking, bumps and bruises can all ruin the holiday fun! Brush up on your first aid and CPR skills and always have a first aid kit on hand!
Tip 2 – Make sure that the area you are lighting fireworks off is free of bushes, dry grass and leaves, trees, decorations and hazardous materials.
Tip 3 – After the fireworks fun is over, make sure the fireworks are free of heat and fire and always have a fire extinguisher on-hand! Even the smallest spark can ignite a fire!
Tip 4 – The 4th of July is fun for humans, but not as fun for pets. Instead of taking them to fireworks festivities, keep them safe and calm in a quiet, sheltered and escape-proof place at home.
Tip 5 – Picnics, concerts, festivals and carnivals are all things that make the 4th of July fun! However the fun can quickly turn scary if you become separated from your children.
